Edinburgh Fringe Festival Production Internship
We are currently accepting production internship applications for Baby Wants Candy's run in the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe Festival! Second round deadline to apply is

The Edinburgh Fringe is the largest theatre festival in the world, and this will be BWC's 19th time at the Festival. We have a huge following in the UK, and experiencing the Fringe itself is incredible for anyone enthusiastic about theatre. The city of Edinburgh is beautiful and full of history, and the number of people and shows in the city are mind-boggling.
We are bringing two shows to this year’s festival, and our interns are a critical part of their success! We will be performing Baby Wants Candy, our completely improvised musical with a full band, and we are also bringing Shamilton, our improvised, Hamilton-inspired hip-hop musical based on a celebrity or historical figure of the audience’s choice.
Our interns always have an unforgettable time working with us and forge lifelong relationships with our team and artists from around the world. You will also have time to see many amazing shows from around the world!
We provide housing in Edinburgh, Scotland for the duration of the Festival, as well as an Assembly pass that gets you into a ton of incredible shows for free. Other than housing, the internship is unpaid and we cannot provide travel to and from Edinburgh, but we do provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience (or more than once in a lifetime if you come back in the following years, which many of our interns do). There are also possible post-Fringe opportunities to work with us for our follow-up shows and workshops in London and across the globe!
No technical or theatre experience is necessary, but if you have skills here, or in other areas (stage management, theatre tech experience, costuming, PR, social media marketing, video -shooting and editing, audio, social media marketing, prop making, etc- we can definitely use those skills as well, so please let us know your background and interests.
You will assist in street marketing, set-up, and delivery of the shows every day. Flyering at the Edinburgh Fringe is one of the few places in the world where it works and makes a demonstrable impact, so we do a fair bit of flyering for both shows as it directly helps sales. Therefore we need all our team to be outgoing, confident and very dependable. And finally, a great work ethic, easygoing attitude, and a good sense of humor are super important - we are a hard-working, fun-loving bunch!
Covid safety is very important to us. Due to close living accommodation provided for the full cast and production team, we will require to know if you have received your Covid vaccine and booster or if you are medically exempt by the time of the internship.
